About Steve
ABOUT THE COLLECTIONS
For the last 30 years, I’ve quietly been building and playing with these artistic ideas and alternate realities.
These are my daydreams of other worlds and my ideas of found remnants of ancient and future civilizations.
Every mark, fold, and hue holds meaning as the visions of these findings become clearer over time, depending on where you are in time.
Via interpretations of encrypted languages, the mission relies on the bending of time and space to reveal the antediluvian pathways most traveled.
Nasca lines, Lidar technology, emerging archeological finds of mysterious ancient cultures, and telescopic images inspire these dissociative creative sessions into realms that become real through invention.
Every series is a new way of viewing these concepts, each a new impression of space travel, archeology, archeoastronomy, and hidden figures through the use of various mediums.
Can you see what I see?
ABOUT THE ARTIST
In a re-exploration of the questions of his youth, Steve brings a sophisticated flourish to the thoughts and ideas that consumed his mind within the daydreams that have persisted throughout his life.
Steve gained an early curiosity in archeology and ancient civilizations when he learned that his grandfather was an archeology professor, and great-grandfather an archeologist. Both were involved in the teachings and discoveries of the Mayan civilizations being found at the time.
Combined with a fascination of the unknown corners of the universe and their colorful possibilities, these ideas slowly formed the imagination that inspires Steve today. His abstract painted maps of worlds unknown are expressive impressions of his inner psyche and bold ideas of existence.
Steve's life-long pursuit of artistic expression lead him to seek a formal education in Film and Television Production, Photography, Studio Arts, Graphic Design, and Marketing. His knowledge and application of all of these art forms are what makes Steve a force within his extensive career as a creative.
"Sharing my artistic vision and creations with people has been the most liberating and freeing feeling. It's like a weight has been lifted from my soul by simply being open to sharing my art."
